Urology associates of Mobile

Making a tough conversation easier to start.

UAM wanted to increase appointment scheduling, make its website easier to navigate and create a brand campaign that gave men a little push to stop waiting and talk to someone.

THE CHALLENGE

For a lot of men, the hardest part of seeing a urologist is making the appointment in the first place.

Embarrassment, uncertainty or simply hoping the problem will go away can keep someone from getting the care they need.

The existing website was not doing enough to help either. We wanted to create content that educated visitors about specific conditions, explained likely treatment options and made the next step obvious, whether that meant calling the office or booking an appointment online.

THE IDEA

We built the campaign around the emotional journey of the patient.

Talking about erectile dysfunction takes courage.

Deciding it is time for a vasectomy takes courage.

Facing prostate cancer takes a whole different kind of courage.

But once someone starts the conversation with a urologist, the uncertainty begins to disappear. The campaign invited men to take that first step, then positioned Urology Associates of Mobile as the place where they could leave feeling informed, supported and confident in what came next.

THE RESULT

After the new website launched and the campaign began running, Urology Associates of Mobile saw a noticeable increase in appointment scheduling.

Hi, I’m Marc.

When the ideas stop coming, I take a walk, workout, drive somewhere or do anything that gives my brain something new to react to. Sometimes the best way to solve a creative problem is to pretend you are no longer working on it.

I usually take my Boxer Ruby with me.

She contributes very little creatively, but insists on being my shadow.
