Brand & Messaging
Ever look around your category and think, “Damn, everything looks the same”?
That usually happens when everyone starts creating before figuring out what actually makes the brand different.
You know what makes your business special. The tricky part is explaining it in a way that does not sound exactly like everyone else in your industry. When customers cannot see the difference, they usually compare prices and move on.
We’ll dig into your audience, your competition and what your customers are thinking when they need you. Then we’ll develop a personality your brand can own so it stops showing up dressed like everyone else in the category.

Website and Digital Content
Soulless. That’s a word I’m hearing a lot more lately as everybody starts using the same AI tools to write their copy.
Yes, AI can serve up a polished paragraph that sounds perfectly fine, but perfectly fine can also feel pretty empty.
And the way people search is changing. They’re asking longer, more specific, conversational questions, sometimes in run-on sentences that would have made my high school English teacher reach for a red pen.
I write the way people actually communicate and answer the questions your customers are really asking. That also gives search engines and AI tools a much clearer understanding of what you do.

Campaign Concepts
Sometimes the words are the idea. Sometimes the visual does the heavy lifting. Either way, the campaign has to connect.
You can nail what your audience is thinking, or completely miss the room. And one thing you definitely don’t need is another batch of ads that all use the same colors but somehow feel like twelve unrelated homework assignments.
A strong campaign starts with one idea that can travel across digital, video, social, email, print, point of purchase and anywhere else your audience may run into it.

Content Creation
Writing consistently is hard work. Especially when you’re running a business and suddenly you’re thinking about what to post, whether anyone saw it, and who liked it.
Creating content is basically ongoing networking. Try doing it consistently for 30 days and you know how exhausting it can get.
I help turn your expertise, opinions, customer questions and half-finished thoughts into content worth posting, without letting it take over your life.

Hi, I’m Marc.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with dreams of becoming a broadcast journalist.
At my first job out of college, I somehow landed an interview with a Chicago Blackhawks All Star during a morning segment on WGN News. I proceeded to completely flub it, got into marketing and never looked back.
Probably worked out for the best.
I also will never turn down an Oreo smoothie from Potbelly’s.
