mccormick freedom museum
An ad campaign with more questions than answers.
THE IDEA
The Freedom Museum was built around a simple idea: important questions about freedom rarely come with easy answers.
So neither did the advertising.
Each execution posed a provocative question about democracy, individual rights or the First Amendment, then ended with one word:
Discuss.
The American flag became our visual canvas. Stars disappeared. Stripes bent, locked and unraveled.
The ads weren't designed to tell people what to think.
They were designed to make people think.
Unfortunately, the museum was short lived.
Apparently, history wasn't trending at the time.
The questions still are.
